In loving memory of:
Bishop Roscoe E. Jones, Our Founder
Bishop Roscoe E. Jones, the founding Pastor of the Faith Apostolic Church of Christ in Buffalo, N.Y., was a visionary, a church builder, a family man, and a humble leader who left us a wonderful legacy and a great example of what a true servant of the Lord should be. His commitment to the people of God and the work of the Lord was unwavering, and his integrity to maintain the truth was uncompromising. Under his leadership, many souls were filled with the Holy Ghost, strengthened, and encouraged by his preaching and teaching of the Word of God. By his example of faith, a humble beginning at the “YMCA,” transitioned into an established place of worship, which blossomed to what seemed impossible, building a brand-new edifice from the ground up. However, we are witnesses that “with God” ALL things are possible.
Bishop Roscoe E. Jones served as the Senior Pastor for 32 years. In June of 2021, he finished his course on earth at age 86. As we continue to wait patiently with anticipation for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to fulfill the blessed hope of the church in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, we will remain steadfast in his Holy Word and Until then my heart will go on singing, and until then with joy, I'll carry on, Until the day my eyes behold that city, Until the day God calls me home.
Sister Mary Jane "MJ" Jones
Sister Mary Jane “MJ” Jones, the lovely wife of our founder was a very warm and caring saint of God who was always willing to help anyone that was in need. She was a great help to the ministry as a gifted altar worker assisting and encouraging many souls in receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. She always had an encouraging word from the Lord and never turned down an opportunity to share the gospel with those in need. Her compassion and generosity were unprecedented, and her sense of humor was unmatched. MJ finished her course here on earth on August 31, 2018. She is certainly missed, but her “press your way” approach to serving God will continue to influence us without end.
