Has God chosen you? If so, are you glad that he did? At the age of 12, the Lord saved me and filled me with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. At such a young age, I really did not fully understand what I had received, but I knew I wanted to live with the Lord forever in heaven. In order for me to accomplish that, I knew that I had to learn more of God’s word, live according to his word, and be a true example of his word. No matter what age you received the Holy Ghost, you must realize that you are still a child in the Lord, and sometimes that is hard for an adult. Being an adult, you are accustomed to deciding what you want to do, how you want to act, and how you want your life to go. However, once God saves you, it is time for you to surrender your life to the Lord and learn how to live for him, please him, and be what he wants you to be. For example, when a baby is born, it does not know how to do anything, and it has to depend on its parents to give it the nourishment it needs to survive. Similarly, a newborn babe in Christ must be fed the sincere milk of God’s word to receive spiritual strength (1 Peter 2:2). As we prosper in the Lord, we will always need to depend on our Savior for spiritual growth, strength, and guidance.
Many worry about what their purpose is regarding the work of the Lord or what their calling is. It is important to realize that the fact that God chose you to become a part of his family is a privilege and a blessing. That alone is something to be glad about and greatly appreciate. So be thankful that God has chosen you and learn how to be what he wants you to be. As the scripture says in 1 Peter 1:15-16, “But he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.”
Amen 🙏🏾 Thank God for Jesus and Thank God for the Precious gift of the Holy Ghost
