Waiting for God’s appointed time means trusting in God’s plan for your life and being patient for His timing. It requires faith and obedience to His will, even when you don’t understand or agree with it. Waiting on God allows you to grow in character and strengthen your relationship with Him.
Being content or satisfied with God is all that we need to prosper in this world. By example, Job held on to his integrity with God, in spite of losing all his possessions. He didn’t allow his possessions to define him or possess him, but he blessed the Lord when all hope was lost. Life-sustaining joy does not consist in the abundance of things that we possess, but in the one thing that we do possess: Jesus!
